How To "Live Deliberately:" The Wonder of Transcendentalism
To Benefit The Nature Conservancy

What is Transcendentalism?
Originally a movement that revolutionized 19th-century American thought, Transcendentalism called for self-reliance, non-conformity, reverence for the natural world, and conscious, meaningful living that focuses on what matters most.
The Transcendentalists recognized the native genius and the tremendous power of each individual, and believed that anything is possible when we find the courage to resist social pressures, trust our authentic selves, simplify our lives, and explore our own potential.
In "How to Live Deliberately," Dr. Jennifer Carol Cook, an expert on American Transcendentalism, will share her fun, inspiring, modern take on Transcendentalist philosophy, and demonstrate how you can use these principles to lead a more authentic, empowered, and fulfilling life.
If your life has become too predictable, bland, or habitual; if you struggle with self-confidence or feel social pressure; if you fear change or taking meaningful risks; or if you are frustrated in your work or feel that you are not yet living the life you know you were meant to lead -- this workshop may be especially helpful for you.
All of us, though, will benefit from the wisdom and inspiration of these powerful ideas, which help us to transcend our limitations, embrace life as the ultimate experiment, and make the most authentic and deliberate choices for our lives .

Our Cause for this Seminar
Transcendentalism deeply honors and values the natural world, and our irrevocable connections with it. Ralph Waldo Emerson's most important book of essays was in fact titled Nature, and Henry David Thoreau could rightly be called America's first environmentalist and conservationist, as demonstrated by his extensive writings about the beauty and importance of nature and wilderness. In the tradition of these pioneering Transcendentalists, The Wonder of the World will donate a portion of the proceeds from this seminar to The Nature Conservancy, an organization that shares our commitment to preserving nature and protecting life on Earth.
